We try to be honest with our book reviews, so don't expect rave reviews just because we want you to buy through Many a Gem.

Each year the covers seem to get gaudier, the factual information slims down and more and more pictures fill the gaps. This one's no different. We had a special millennium edition with the numerals 2000 heavily embossed on the cover last year and stocks disappeared in no time. Now, to start the new millennium(!) we have another just as tacky as last year's. Whatever you think, this perennial album has to be an indispensable addition to anyone's Guinness collection, young or not so young.
